What are All-On-4 Implants?

The All-On-4 procedure, often called “Teeth in a Day,” allows patients to have their remaining teeth removed, dental implants placed, and a fully functioning smile—all in a single visit. This transformative treatment not only restores the appearance of your smile but can dramatically improve your confidence and quality of life.

For those dealing with severe decay, failing dental work, or multiple broken teeth, the All-On-4 “Teeth in a Day” solution provides a fast, effective, and long-lasting way to achieve a completely renewed smile and finally address long-standing dental concerns.

  • Most natural-looking option – Designed to closely resemble natural teeth in both appearance and texture.
  • Truly permanent – Fixed in place, so there’s no need to remove them like traditional dentures.
  • Immediate functionality – No long healing period before you can use your new teeth.
  • Open-palate design – The roof of your mouth remains uncovered for added comfort.
  • Superior chewing power – Offers the best biting and chewing ability among full-arch replacement options.
  • Great for limited bone – Ideal for patients who have been told they don’t have enough bone for traditional implants.
  • Improved taste experience – Enjoy food more fully without a denture covering your palate.

How it Works

This procedure begins with removing any remaining teeth, placing 4–6 implants per arch, and securing a low-profile bridge to those implants. The implants are strategically angled to avoid the sinuses, which helps eliminate the need for costly bone grafts and long healing periods.

Our doctor has refined the traditional All-On-4 approach by customizing the technique based on extensive experience and the unique anatomy of each patient. After a thorough evaluation, your doctor will place four to six implants per arch and attach temporary fixed bridges while the implants integrate with your jawbone and your mouth heals.

Once healing is complete, our doctor and in-house lab technician will design your final teeth using zirconia—a material far stronger than standard acrylic denture teeth used in many other practices. Zirconia offers exceptional durability, a natural and lifelike appearance, improved hygiene, and resistance to staining. This means your final restoration will deliver superior longevity and aesthetics compared to common acrylic/titanium hybrid bridges.

Am I a Candidate?

Most patients—even those previously told they don’t have enough bone for dental implants—are good candidates for this procedure. By using a combination of straight and angled implants, your doctor can avoid the sinus areas and anchor the implants into the strongest parts of the bone. This advanced technique often removes the need for expensive and lengthy sinus augmentation bone grafts.

During your complimentary consultation, your doctor will perform a thorough evaluation to determine whether the All-On-4, or “Teeth in a Day,” treatment is the right option for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

All-On-4 Procedure Timeline

The procedure itself typically takes 4-6 hours depending on whether you are having a single arch treated (upper or lower) or both arches (full mouth). When you leave our office, your temporary bridge(s) will be securely attached to your new implants. You will wear your temporary bridge(s) for 4 months to allow time for your implants to integrate with your bone and for your jaws and gums to heal into a stable, long-term position before we fabricate your final bridge(s). Allowing this healing time ensures the closest possible fit for your final bridges. After this healing time, we will begin fabricating your final bridge(s). This involves a few appointments over a 5-6 week period, during which time you’ll help us design the smile you want for your permanent teeth.

01

Mouth Impressions

The lab uses these to make your temporary implant bridge(s). Possible wax try-in – if you are missing all or most of the teeth in the arch that we will be treating, the doctor may suggest a wax try-in. This is a mock up of what your temporary implant bridge and will be used to check bite position, aesthetics, etc.

02

Procedure

Remove any teeth (if applicable), place implants, place temporary implant bridge(s). The procedure typically takes anywhere from 4-7 hours.

03

Post Op #1

06

Try In

5-10 Days After Impressions | We will try in a mock-up of your final teeth. Multiple wax try-ins are needed in some cases. We have to make sure you are completely happy with your wax try-ins before processing them. Once they are processed, we are unable to make changes to them. If you wish to make changes to your bridge(s) after you have approved them and they have been fabricated, there will be a full-cost remake charge.

07

Seat Final Teeth

After you approve your wax try-in(s), it typically takes 4-6 weeks before your bridge or bridges are ready to seat.
